Throughout STEM learning students should be exposed to engineering skills and be reminded that they are using and applying engineering practices.

The eight engineering practices are:

1. Defining problems

2. Developing and using models

3. Planning and carrying out investigations

4. Analyzing and interpreting data

5. Using maths and computational thinking

6. Designing a solution

7. Engaging in an argument stemming from evidence

8. Obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information
