At Broulee Public School, we firmly believe that communication is paramount in a successful transition to school and a continued partnership throughout your child's schooling. We have several modes of communication set up to serve different purposes.
School Bytes Parent Portal
Broulee Public School use School Bytes as its main form of communication - the app is available through both the Apple Store and Google Play Store. It can be downloaded for free and is a one stop shop to keep up to date with everything that goes on within the school. This is the best way to keep informed of dates and important information, it is also necessary for excursion permissions, payments and school reports.
You will be able to register for School Bytes access once your child begins at Broulee Public school in Term 1.
Visit Parent Portal Set Up for more information.
Please note that you can also log in to School Bytes through any web browser on any device with an internet connection.
Class Dojo
Class teachers will use the Class Dojo app to communicate with you on a more informal basis. This is where they will share photos and update you with learning taking place, along with sharing dates, reminders and things to make you smile.
Teachers can also send you private messages through Class Dojo, and you can message them.
IMPORTANT: If you have changes to pick up routines, please phone the office before 2.30pm to get your message through, as class teachers often only have the chance to check and respond to Dojo messages after school hours.
The Scoop is our fortnightly newsletter providing updates and insights into what is going on in the school including a message from the Principal. The Scoop is also a place to check for upcoming events and access community information.
A link to The Scoop is published fortnightly on Saturday mornings via School Bytes, Facebook, Class Dojo and on the school website.
You will find lots of information on the Broulee Public School website. You can find the school email address and phone number on the website - please call or email anytime should you have a query.
Broulee Public School has a Facebook page where you can share in information and activities going on throughout the school.
School reports are available through your School Bytes portal at the end of Semester One and Two (end of Term 2 and 4). Three way interviews (Parent / Teacher / Child) are held in term one as a way of getting to know each other and to introduce families to our learning environment.
