History
The problem of erosion at Stockton Beach is not new. Commentary on this problem has been has been ongoing for decades. Many investigation and studies of this site have been conducted.
The following articles provide some history into the issue of coastal erosion at Stockton Beach.
"Stockton is separated from heavy industry by only a narrow strip of water in this picture of the suburb.
BHP can be seen in the background, separated from suburbia only by the North arm of the Hunter River."
