Note the local spelling of GuriNgai with a capital 'N' . This represents the Aboriginal men (Guri) and Aboriginal women (Ngai) from this area.

With your students, explore the satellite map image of your excursion site (either Muogamarra or West Head) and answer the following questions:

  • What do we call the view when we are looking at a map from above?

  • What can you see in the satellite image? What do you think Muogamarra/West Head will be like? What do you think we will see when we get there?

  • Where is our school located on the satellite image? Zoom out until you find it.

  • How will be get from our school to Muogamarra/West Head? What will we see along the way? How long will it take?
