Mathematics (Example)

In Maths this week, we have been learning about word problems with decimals. To check what we already know, the teacher got us to do a pre-test.

I was a bit confused with the subtraction question. I didn't get it right so I have made this my Maths goal for this term. I am going to try and practice more word problems with decimals so that I can get better at solving them.

One of the topics we have been learning about in Maths this term is 3D objects.

The teacher gave us a challenge to check our understanding. We had to make the net of a prism and the net of a pyramid and then put them together to create a 3D object.

Before I could make my 3D object, I had to plan my design. I then used straws and sticky tape to create it. It was a bit tricky to make as it kept falling over! I then had to write about the design features of my 3D object. It took 3 lessons to do all of this but it was lots of fun!
