Woodport Public School obtained a sustainable schools grant in 2021 and used it to build bin stations to reduce the waste the school produced. The school decided to introduce food scraps collection as well as collect Return and Earn items to be deposited at the end of each term. The GA of the school, Stuart Brown, designed bin stations with space for three 120L bins. Woodport has been able to halve the amount of waste they send to landfill each day.
