A huge congratulations to our boys’ team for their outstanding performance. Picton HS clinched a narrow win over Oran Park HS, with the final score of 16-10. A massive congratulations also goes out to our girls’ team. Picton HS secured a strong win over Oran Park HS, showcasing excellent teamwork and skill.
All players and spectators involved throughout the day were great representatives of Picton High School. Their excellent teamwork, sportsmanship and respect were truly commendable and reflected the values we stand for.
Thank you to all the staff and students of both Picton HS and Oran Park HS to ensure the day was a success. Your dedication and enthusiasm were crucial in ensuring everything ran smoothly and contributed to the event’s success.
MACARTHUR ZONE CHAMPIONS
Massive congratulations to the U14 Buckley Shield Rugby League Team for their performance at the Regional Finals. Picton HS narrowly missed out progressing through to the state finals but not from a lack of courage, determination and resilience.
The boys narrowly lost to Casual HS 20-12 in their first game. After a short break, they had to play back to back 40 minute games, winning the first against East Hills HS 24-18 and coming away with a 6 all draw against the undefeated Ashcroft HS.
This was a huge effort considering our team only had 14 players (1 reserve on the bench) going up against teams of 20 in their squad. You should hold your heads high boys. You have done yourself, your families, your school and community PROUD.
