*QUICK TIPS FOR NAVIGATING NSG*
It can take some time to learn where everything is at school! If you get lost or need directions, simply ask a teacher or a senior student – they will be happy to help!
If you feel unwell at school you need to report to the Front Office. Do not phone your parent/guardian yourself to arrange to be picked up from school. We must know where you are at all times. We will contact your carers for you.
Your Year Advisers are there to support you. You can talk to them about any concerns you may have. You can also talk to the Student Support Officer (Ms Thomas) who can be found in the back of the library. Remember you can always submit a Wellbeing Ticket via your Sentral homepage to request to speak to a member of staff.
Go to the Front Office and ask if it has been handed in or check the tubs near the D-Block toilets. If your name is on an item that has been handed in, you will be notified. *TIP – put your name on everything!
You will need to contact the Lost Property department of the relevant transport service *TIP ‐ labelled property is easier to retrieve!
You can visit our IT staff in the library or lodge an IT ticket via the homepage on Sentral.
There are many people at school you can talk to, including your Year Advisers, Student Support Officer, Deputy Principals, Head Teacher Wellbeing and School Counsellors. We are here to help. Please reach out via the self-referral QR code on this Hub, a Wellbeing Ticket or simply come visit us during recess or lunch.
Bullying will not be tolerated at NSG. We expect students to uphold our values of kindness, compassion and respect. Please speak to your Year Advisers, a Deputy Principal or Principal if there are any issues occurring at school or online. Be kind and look out for each other.
You can request to speak to a school counsellor by lodging a Wellbeing Ticket via your Sentral homepage. If you feel unsure, speak to your Year Adviser, the Student Support Officer or a trusted teacher who can help arrange a meeting for you.
