Vaping, Smoking, Drugs and Alcohol

Our PDHPE curriculum covers the risks associated with vaping, drugs and alcohol and the variety of reasons that may lead to their use by a young person.

Below are some links to trusted organisations that provide information and tips for starting an ongoing discussion about drugs with your child:

-         ReachOut

-         Parenting Network

Karralika is a local organisation that works with children, young people, their families and other service providers to reduce the harms associated with drug and alcohol use and improve quality of life. Karralika Child and Youth programs are free of charge and confidential.

If you have concerns about your child’s use of vapes, drugs and/or alcohol, please speak to your doctor who will be able to provide guidance and support.
