Also I've added in all the VET courses. Let me know if i missed anything or you need other information .
For students in Years 11–12 VET is ‘dual accredited’. Students receive recognition towards their HSC, as well as a nationally recognised VET qualification
(Certificate or Statement of Attainment).
Some VET courses include an optional HSC examination which provides the opportunity for students to have this HSC examination mark contribute towards the calculation of their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Students should note that most VET courses have a compulsory work placement, usually equating to 70 hours over the two years. If you do not complete the work placement for a VET subject you will not meet the minimum HSC requirements of the course.
There are two types of VET Courses, a Board Developed and Board Endorsed. VET Board Endorsed courses count as unit credit for the HSC but do not contribute towards an ATAR. At Northlakes High School we only offer one VET Board Endorsed course, Sports Coaching. Be aware that this course cannot be counted towards an ATAR.
