So when we learn to draw we first of all need to know how to make our pencil sharp. So what you need to do is find yourself a good pencil sharpener. I've got a very fancy one here that collects all the shavings and you can see that I'm just gently twisting it. Don't push it in too hard. Rotate it. Pull it out have a bit of a look. Looks like that one needs a bit more.

So that you get the pencil to a point where it's pretty sharp. If it's not sharp you can't create good lines.

There look at that. That looks sharp.
