So when we learn to draw we need to use pencils and they're of course different types of pencils. You can see the ones I'm holding here go from HB at the bottom to 6B at the top. 6B is the softest. HB is a bit is a little bit harder. It actually keeps going down to H 2H 4H 6H.

But today we're going to use the softer end of the pencils, that is 2B 4B 6B any of these ones I've got in my hand here. But you can use any pencil.

The most important thing of course is to keep your pencil sharp.
