Upcoming Events
Outlined below are a range of transition activities which are planned to support the transition from our partner schools. Dates will be confirmed and added to the calendar located to the right.
Mathematics - World of mathematics World of Maths has over 150 hand-made activities and run workshops where learning is fun through hands-on, real-life examples. Hands-on activities have many benefits for students. And it’s not just about reinforcing maths concepts.
Band Program – Workshops designed for Year 6 students from the primary concert bands.
Jumpstart – Is designed for students who may have anxiety or wellbeing concerns and need to have some additional time during the transition process. Ideally, it is for students who have a diagnosis (ie, anxiety, depression) or other mental health concerns. Each primary school will identify students involved.
Beststart – Is designed to support students with behavioural concerns. We will work with students during additional transition days to get to know the students better in a high school environment, and to ensure we have the appropriate supports in place for their move to high school.
Start Strong – Is our transition program to support our First Nation Students transitioning to high school. The program has been designed and developed by out Aboriginal Education Officer – Xavier Passi, and he will deliver it over a number of weeks in Term 4.
