Mathematics

Mathematics is not a mandatory course in Stage 6. 

Mathematics can be studied by selecting either:

• Mathematics Standard     

• Mathematics Advanced    

• Mathematics Extension 1 (1 unit)

• Mathematics Extension 2 (1 unit -Year 12 only) 

• Numeracy 

The Mathematics Standard Year 11 course is a common course for all students studying the Mathematics Standard syllabus. 

In Year 12 students can elect to study either the: 

• Mathematics Standard 1 Year 12 course 

• Mathematics Standard 2 Year 12 course 

Students wishing to study Mathematics Extension 1 must also study Mathematics Advanced.

Mathematics Extension 2 may be offered to students after completing the study of Mathematics Extension 1.
