HSIE

HSIE courses are not mandatory in Stage 6. 

HSIE can be studied by selecting either:

• Ancient History

• Modern History

• Studies of Religion

• History Extension ( 1 unit- Year 12 only) 

• Business Studies

• Economics

• Geography

• Legal Studies

• Society & Culture

• Work Studies 

• Retail Services ( VET )

Students electing to study Society & Culture must produce and submit a Personal Interest Project (PIP) .

Work placement is a mandatory component of industry-based vocational education and training (VET) courses.  

History Extension may be offered to students in Year 12 only.
