Dhurga is one of the traditional languages of the Yuin people of the South Coast of NSW.
The Growing Yuin Languages website is a collaboration between Merrimans Local Aboriginal Land Council, local Aboriginal children and families, Bermagui Primary School (BPS) and the Red Cross.Â
The partners have developed Dhurga language resources over a number of years. The resources are now digitised by the children at Bermagui Public School to make them more accessible for early childhood providers, primary and high schools, community groups and the wider community.
Children have created greetings, art work, stories, posters, interactive games and songs in Dhurga language for everyone to enjoy.
Our vision is for this website to conituously grow and include more traditional language resources for everyone to share in our region.
The Aboriginal Languages Revival Program has funded the project.
