What can we learn?

  • People willing to spend hours doing the same thing over and over.
  • Gives you tonnes of tiny achievement hits that make it addictive.
  • Has an in game currency that you can purchase with real money to get advantages. Often this is used to argue for points but points only work when they provide a real advantage - they should be hard to earn but genuinely valuable.

How can we use this?

  • Drill and repetition can be useful and hard to motivate
  • Creating engaging activities
  • Levelling up or boss fights
  • Timers
