Mascot Public School uses Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) as a whole school wellbeing approach. PBL gives students the strategies to understand their expectations and own their behaviour, in a positive setting. School rules are taught explicitly and are centred on our school core values: Respectful, Responsible Learner.

Peg Chart
Peg Chart
The peg chart can be found in all classrooms. As students make good choices throughout the day, their peg moves up. If they make it to Superstar, they receive a Star Award.
Pegs can also be moved down when students behave inappropriately. This is seen as a chance for students to correct their behaviour and students start fresh at 'Ready to Learn' after each break.
