Commerce will help you understand the world of being a consumer, how to be financially independent, economically versed, business savvy, legally sound, politically versed and employment ready. Commerce teaches students how to be an active and informed citizen and to thrive in the real-world.

Promoting and Selling student work samples:

One of the topics in Year 9 Commerce is Promoting & Selling. In this topic students learn about marketing, persuasive language and 21^st century promoting techniques. For assessment task one, students were asked to choose one of their favorite products and conduct research to create a promotional item related to this product. Students then analysed the likelihood of the success of their product and promotion using marketing techniques.

All students presented outstanding promotional items with catchy, modern and contemporary themes. The image carousel on the right contains some of the examples of social media post created.

For the second assessment task in Year 9, students had to create an awareness campaign about fraud, consumer 'scams' and protection. Below are some samples of the amazing student submissions!
