The images above show Year 11 Ancient History putting on their 'archaeologist hats' to try their hand at excavations. As part of the topic 'The investigation of sites and sources' students learnt about excavation and recording techniques, applying their new found knowledge to conduct their own excavation of a chocolate chip biscuit, carefully removing valuable 'artefacts' found (chocolate chips), and keeping accurate records through sketching the location of these 'artefacts' to scale on a grid."
