The Drama Extra-Curricular program runs before and after school and is a mixture of auditioned and non-auditioned programs. Auditioned students are encouraged to become part of one or more of the programs available as opportunities to extend skills in areas of expertise.

JUNIOR MELODRAMATICS | WEDNESDAY 7:30am - 8:30am | $200 per year
Auditions: Wednesday 19 February 7:30am - 8:30am
This company will comprise of Year 7 and 8 students only. Run by Emma Taite. Ms Taite has a Diploma in Speech and Drama from Trinity College London and also graduated with a Bachelor of Performance from UWS Theatre Nepean in 2003. Since this time she has performed with various theatre companies across Sydney including the Australian premiere of the play 'Truckstop'. Previous to this Emma worked on the London production of 'Dirty Dancing'. Emma has since focused on Drama Education and has worked as a Primary School Teacher and High School Drama teacher for the past 17 years. Students in this ensemble will embrace the skills needed for ensemble performance including, choral, movement and character work. Students will perform at showcases, festivals and school events.
THE DRAMA COMPANY | TUESDAY 7:30am - 8:55am | $200 per year

The Drama Company will by run by Emma Taite and Adriana Manley. Ms Manley is a Drama and English teacher at Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School. She joined the Nepean CAPAHS community in 2022, having four years of experience teaching Drama at her previous school. Adriana graduated from The University of Notre Dame Australia in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Education (Secondary), majoring in Theatre Studies and English Literature, where she co-devised and performed in productions such as You Are Here and A Playful Night Out. She was a recipient of Sydney Theatre Company’s Young Playwrights’ Residency in 2009 for her original play Pandora’s Box, where she worked with accomplished playwrights, actors and theatre-makers to develop her dramaturgy. She has also worked with students to perform at Schools Spectacular and festivals such as Lights Up. Adriana is passionate about developing young dramatic artists to find their voice and express themselves through harnessing the power of storytelling in theatre. Students within the ensemble will have the opportunity to develop and explore their talents in the areas of acting, directing and writing for stage, and work together as an ensemble to build pieces of theatre to perform at Showcases, Festivals and various school events.
