We are noticing highly interested and engaged students in the classroom. Students working together, communicating, sharing ideas and challenging each other is occurring on a daily basis. Students have been developing outstanding and creative work samples to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the classwork they have been completing in the classroom. Students have been working hard with movie and video clip making, animation clips, using the camera to capture their learning and designing creative ways to display their knowledge through posters and images. Each lesson we see students excited to infuse technology into their school life. We believe this is making a difference in their understanding, behaviour, engagement at school and helping them grow & prepare for living in tomorrows world. We are tracking and monitoring their progress regularly, here is a sample of their results so far-
Class Behaviour and Engagement
Students are on task, learning and interested more than their peers. We measure this data compared to other classes across the year group. The class is clearly one of the most engaged and well behaved classes in the school. It is achieving 76% less negative behaviours than other standard classes in the year group.
Class Attendance
Students want to be in the classroom. Nothing excites teachers more than students who want to learn! Currently, the class attendance rate is 10% greater than other standard year group classes.
Parent Feedback
100% of parents agree that this class has been a great choice for their child. They are noticing their excitement and sharing their school day with their parents. Some even show their parents new tips and tricks they have been learning in class. We love this trait in teenagers.Â
Literacy and Numeracy Growth
This is also equally important to us as it is to parents. We measure this each year to ensure it is at the forefront of our planning. The Tech Elect students have produced outstanding results compared to their peers in the Year group. Their level of growth in Literacy and Numeracy is higher than almost all other classes in the year group in both aspects, Literacy and Numeracy.
