Stage 2

This two-hour workshop supports students to use digital devices in safe, responsible and respectful ways. It has been created alongside the NSW Education Digital Device Policy. It draws on existing resources and knowledge to create hands-on, discussion-based activities that culminate in an activity that benefits the whole school community. Stage 2 students will focus on correct password creation and device use at school and at home.

Part A

Part A sets the scene for the new policy, introduces students to the concept of devices at school vs devices at home and draws on existing knowledge.

Part B

Part B gives students some new skills to use to help them be safer, more responsible and more respectful when using digital devices.

Part C

The objective of this final task is to create some posters to share around the school to reinforce safe, responsible and respectful behaviours. Students will then reflect by thinking how they will use devices moving forward.
