English Extension

English Extension I is designed for students undertaking English Advanced who choose to study at a more intensive level in diverse but specific areas. They enjoy engaging with complex levels of conceptualisation and seek the opportunity to work in increasingly independent ways.

Texts are studied in depth and can include traditional texts of the literary cannon such as Jane Eyre, Wide Sargasso Sea and Frankenstein. Extension 1 is an excellent course to further develop skills to support your study of Advanced English.

Students wishing to take Extension 2 English in Year 12, MUST select the English Extension 1 Course in Year 11 and Year 12.
