CROMER COURIER
Two of our fantastic students achieved outstanding success at the inaugural NSW Sport Inclusive Bowling competition held at Rooty Hill in week 6.
Kai and Eva had an absolute blast, cheering each other on every step of the way. Competitors from across the state bowled their hearts out over two big days, with scores based on both individual and team performances.
Kai struck Gold and Eva brought home Silver — both hitting personal bests!
Huge shoutout to the incredible team behind this well-run and inspiring event. Kai and Eva gave it their all and made NBSC Cromer proud!
Our Touch Footy boys had a great time at their quarter final against Pittwater High School. It was a close game up until the last few minutes of the match where we lost with a score of 7-4.
We’re incredibly proud of them for the efforts they’ve put into getting this far in the competition!

After a recently rained off Regional Quarter finals gala day, our Open Girls Touch Football team travelled to the Central Coast to play Terrigal High school in Round 4 of the knockout competition!
The playing conditions were rough under foot but it was smiles all round for our girls . We didn’t come away with the win against Terrigal who were the regional champions last year, but held our own with a final score of 12-3.
Not bad for a very young Opens team. Well done girls Looking forward to the 2026 knock out competition!!
Big thanks to Mr Hanna for driving the mini bus!

Our Open Girls Basketball Team recently represented Cromer Campus at the NSW Open Girls Basketball Championships. Although we didn’t come away with a win, the day was filled with energy, learning, and unforgettable moments.
Despite being an inexperienced team, the girls gave it everything on the court—playing with true Cromer spirit, intensity, and tenacity. Their effort and attitude were second to none, showing flashes of real championship potential throughout the tournament.
This was, without doubt, the most fun Mr Hong has had coaching in 20 years. The girls supported each other, pushed through tough matchups, and showed immense growth across the day.
A special mention goes to our only representative player, Zoe Stringer, who top-scored in every game and was a standout as our Most Valuable Player.
Well done to all the girls—you’ve done us proud!

Congratulations to our Open Boys Rugby League team for making history as the first team to represent Cromer Campus in over six years!
Braving a cold, wet and windy day, the boys showed incredible determination and spirit. They narrowly lost their first game to Pittwater by just 2 points, before bouncing back with a dominant win over Barrenjoey. While it wasn’t quite enough to secure a finals spot, their performance was nothing short of gutsy.
A special shoutout to Cruz T, who played up an age division and delivered a standout performance in both defence and attack, scoring all our points. Presley A impressed with his on-field organisation, sharp ball playing and communication. Special mention to our captain Nick O for leading with heart all day, with consistent defence and composure.
Well done, boys — you’ve made us proud!

Cromer came 2nd overall, just behind Manly Selective and we have around 45 athletes who have made it through to Sydney North Athletics Championships which will be held at Sydney Olympic Park athletics stadium on Monday 28th July and Tuesday 29th July. We wish them the best of luck.
In week 6, eight teams from NBSC Cromer Campus headed out to compete at the Netball NSW Gala Day.
Cromer Campus had girls and boys teams from Years 7–10 taking part, and it was a great day all round — with plenty of competitive games, solid results, and lots of fun along the way. Students represented our school exceptionally both on and off the court!
A special thank you to our senior students who stepped up to coach and umpire on the day. They did an excellent job and showed real leadership in supporting our younger students.
Well done to everyone involved!
Zone Cross Country - Held at North Narrabeen Reserve on Thursday 29th May 2025, with Cromer taking around 80 athletes. Well done to all competitors.
Sydney North Cross Country - 21 athletes from Cromer were part of the Warringah Zone Team for Sydney North up in Gosford. 4 of our athletes have made it through to NSW State Cross Country at the end of July.
Congratulations and good luck to Lukas D, Lily D, Aylah M and two of our multi-class athletes, Jade D and Mia E.
Congratulations to the Yr 8 Div 4 Basketball team who won their Grand Final last night against NBSC Knights.
Their finals run saw them compete against the #1 team last week in the Semi-Final, the Mosman Mavericks — a very tough (and quite rough!) side — and with our two players off with injuries we still won by 2 points and advanced to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final game was a close one, with both teams playing their best. Cromer came away victorious, winning 28–24!
