We have a dedicated specialist STEM team who deliver exciting programs such as robotics and coding across the school from Kindergarten to Year 6 as well as help our students to develop creativity and thinking skills they need to thrive.
Our inclusive Creative and Performing Arts specialist teachers design and deliver programs around the areas of Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts to all students across the school. We value our students developing their creativity as well as their literacy and numeracy.
Each Stage Team develops student fundamental motor skills through fun activities. Weekly Sport days provide students the opportunity to practice their skills in a team game, while also developing cooperation, fair play and team work.
Our school uses Inquisitive to inform inquiry based learning around stage appropriate themes. In Kindergarten, students learn about their personal and family histories.
Geography learning is undertaken in Semester 1. Kindergarten students learn mapping skills and explore places special to them such as home and school.
Our school chooses to focus on proactively teaching our students what great behaviour is. Our three values of respect responsibility and kindness are explicitly taught across the school year and we celebrate individual and whole school success as we learn what these values look and feel like together as a school community.
To make the transition from prior to school learning to kindergarten smoother, our teachers include a play based pedagogy to learning experiences in early Kindergarten. Students will have the opportunity to discover, create, improve and imagine while they engage in social groups and establish friendships within the classroom.
