PUPIL Program

What is the PUPIL Program?

PUPIL stands for 'Parents Undertaking Partnerships in Learning'.

The PUPIL Program is intended for parents of students in Kindergarten and Year 1. In the program we will cover ways to support and help your child at home across a range of topics including Reading, Mathematics and Well being. Although the program is designed to help parents with students in Kindergarten and Year 1, it has components which will benefit parents of children of all ages, everyone is invited to attend. As this forms part of the early years transition to school program it is encouraged that all parents of Kindergarten and Year 1 children engage with this program.

Parent engagement in learning is known to lead to improved outcomes for students of all ages. Parents play an essential role as the first educators of children, and ongoing, active engagement of parents, families and communities has a major impact on a child’s success at school.

Family, school and community partnerships are an effective way to bring together family and community resources to enrich student learning and wel being. We look forward to empowering you, as the first and continuing educators of our students, and assisting you in connecting learning at home and school.
