1 Bumblebee Writing
This term, 1 Bumblebee have been buzzing with creativity as they learn to write to entertain! Our focus has been on Good Over Evil tales, where brave heroes face tricky villains and good triumphs in the end. Students have done a fantastic job bringing their stories to life with exciting characters, interesting settings, descriptive language and plenty of action. We are so proud of their wonderful imaginations and the enthusiasm they have shown as they grow into confident young authors!
1/2 Batman Maths - Building Number Sense Through Fact Families
Our Year 1 students have been exploring the connections between addition and subtraction by creating fact families. They have been using three related numbers to build number sentences, helping them see how addition and subtraction are inverse operations.
Our Year 2 students have been taking this learning a step further by creating fact families for multiplication and division. Through hands-on activities and mathematical discussions, students are developing their understanding of the relationships between these operations and strengthening their fluency with number facts.
It has been wonderful to see our students explain their thinking, make connections and confidently use different representations to show their mathematical understanding. We are so proud of their enthusiasm and growing confidence as mathematicians!
2N’s Colourful Creations
2N have been busy getting creative and producing wonderful artworks inspired by our learning throughout the year. Our artworks have explored animals and their life cycles, as well as the magical world of fairy tales. Students have experimented with a variety of mediums, including paint, Edicol dye, oil pastels, crayons and textas. They have also explored different artistic techniques to add colour, texture and detail to their creations. We are very proud of the creativity and effort 2N have shown, and we love seeing our classroom filled with their bright and colourful masterpieces!
