Welcome to the Newcastle High School HSIE homepage 2025.
We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of our students in the Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) subjects during the 2024 Higher School Certificate (HSC) exams. A total of over 50 students sat for over 60 exams across HSIE subjects, including Aboriginal Studies, Ancient History, Business Studies, Geography, Legal Studies, Modern History, and Society and Culture.
The outstanding results achieved are a testament to the dedication, resilience, and intellectual curiosity of our students, as well as the unwavering support from their families, teachers, and the wider school community. As we embark on another exciting year, we look forward to seeing our 2025 HSIE students continue this tradition of excellence.
Term 1 has flown by, bringing with it an exciting learning experiences. Our HSIE classes have seamlessly transitioned into the new demountable classrooms! These spacious, air-conditioned learning spaces have been met with enthusiastic feedback, providing a comfortable and modern environment that enhances student engagement, collaboration, and learning experiences.
