Following the excursion, students complete the 'L' (learn) section of the KWL chart in their workbooks. Encourage students to share any questions they may have included in the 'W' (wonder) section and determine whether they had been answered. Discuss students learning as a class.
Before the excursion, students learned about the importance of an Acknowledgement of Country. Now after the excursion, consider the Acknowledgement of Country that is said at your school. Could it be improved or added to? Encourage students to write their own Acknowledgement to be read at a school assembly.
