The study of Graphics develops an understanding of graphical communication as a universal language and the techniques used to convey spatial and design ideas. Students will learn to produce a wide range of graphical presentations, images, drawings and media using industry standard practices, including graphics standards, conventions and procedures used in manual and computer-based drafting and design (CAD).
The course combines technical graphics skills with design thinking, enabling students to communicate design information effectively using a variety of techniques, media and technologies while developing practical solutions.
This is a project-based course focused on developing comprehensive graphic solutions across diverse disciplines from Architecture and Landscape design to Product and Technical Illustration.

Students develop essential design-thinking skills including observing, empathising, team building, communicating, and analysing to imagine and create innovative graphic solutions. Working both independently and in collaborative teams that mirror professional practice, students apply visual communication principles to solve real-world design challenges, building foundational skills that connect to further study in design, architecture, or related creative fields.
This course provides relevant and engaging opportunities for students who are interested in studying Design & Technology in Years 11 & 12.
