Fall Semester (Local and Online)

Level i: Pitch (Districts)

• Begins at start of school year and continues through October 2025

• Students brainstorm project ideas and use the STLP Project Planner to form a pitch.

• Local schools host pitch events.

• Schools select up to four top project ideas to move forward.

• Teams prepare for Level 1.

• Registration deadline: October 29, 2025

Level 1: Progress (Regionals)

• Online presentations take place November 19, 2025

• Teams present projects in-progress using Level 1 planning resources.

• Judges provide feedback and select teams to advance to Level 2.

• Teams not selected can revise and submit a second-chance response by December 19, 2025.

• Registration deadline: November 1, 2025

Spring Semester (In-Person in Lexington, KY)

Level 2: Present (State Semi-Finals)

• Takes place on April 24, 2026 (AM session)

• Teams deliver technology-rich presentations in person to Level 2 Judges.

• Scoring guides help teams plan their presentation.

• Eligible high scores + judge endorsement advance teams to Level 3.

Level 3: Promote (State Finals)

• Takes place April 24, 2026 (PM session)

• Teams share their passion and impact (not a rehearsed speech).

• Teams must explain why their project should be selected as an STLP State Champion.

• Judges evaluate and promote top teams to Champion status.

• Registration deadline for both levels: March 20, 2026

Summer (Orlando, Florida)

Level 4: Propel (Global Showcase)

• June 2026

• STLP State Champions will travel to the ISTE Conference to represent Kentucky on an international stage.

• Level 4 is not a competition but a showcase opportunity.

• Teams will "propel" their ideas and tell the story of their STLP journey.

Color Codes & Icons:

• Each level is color-coded: Level i is purple, Level 1 is green, Level 2 is blue, Level 3 is orange, and Level 4 is red.

• Registration deadlines are clearly marked in red throughout the timeline.
