Mobility to Ribnitz-Damgarten (Germany) – March 23-29, 2025
From March 23rd to 29th, 2025, a group of students and teachers from IES Puerta de la Serena will travel to Ribnitz-Damgarten (Germany) to participate in a mobility within the framework of the Erasmus+ HIDE (Healthy Inclusion of Diversity through Education) project. This initiative, which will run until July 2027, aims to promote inclusion through sports and education, fostering values such as cooperation, diversity, and mutual respect.

Due to an unfortunate injury, our student Daniel Amador González Vallejo will not be able to travel this time.
The accompanying teachers will be María Teresa Parejo Dávila and Jaime Suárez de Venegas Rodríguez.
Throughout the week, our students will have the opportunity to interact with peers from Germany, Italy, France, Poland, and Greece at Richard-Wossidlo Gymnasium, participating in various activities designed to promote learning and inclusion through sports and education. Day 1: Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 – The Journey to Germany
Departure from Villanueva de la Serena at 00:00 (midnight) on Saturday.
Flight I21801: Departure from Madrid Barajas at 7:35 AM, arrival in Berlin at 10:40 AM.
Train from Berlin Airport to Ribnitz-Damgarten West: Departure at 1:04 PM, arrival at 5:22 PM.
Reception at the train station and meeting with host families.
Day 2: Monday, March 24th, 2025 – A Day at Richard-Wossidlo Gymnasium
Erasmus+ Speed Dating: Ice-breaking activity for students.
Official welcome and guided tour of the school.
German language lesson for the visiting students.
Screening of the awareness video created by our students about inclusive sports.
Workshop 1: Film Project (Activity 5): Students will participate in a film workshop, where they will explore different strategies to tell stories of inclusion through audiovisual language. As part of the activity, they will present "We all are little black submarines" the video created by IES Puerta dela Serena students, which was prepared in advance to raise awareness of the importance of inclusive sports. This activity fosters creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking while providing a space for reflection on equal opportunities in sports.
Afternoon visit to the CJD Factory in Ribnitz, an institution that promotes the integration of people with disabilities in the workforce.
Day 3: Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 – Exploring Ribnitz
Guided city tour of Ribnitz.
Meeting with the mayor at the Town Hall.
Lunch at Pieper-Catering.
Visit to the German Amber Museum.
Free time in the town: Students will explore in groups along with German peers.
Day 4: Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 – Sports and Inclusion
German language lesson.
Inclusive sports sessions: Goalball and Handball.
Workshop 2: "Inclusion Charter" (Activity 7) The students will develop an informative and educational material explaining the values of the HIDE project and the importance of inclusive sports.
Lunch at school.
Workshop 3: Brochure Creation (Activity 6) Students will work on creating an "Inclusion Charter", where they will express their commitment to promoting inclusive sports in their communities. This document will address aspects such as:
The need to remove barriers to access in sports.
The importance of respect and diversity in sports practices.
Specific actions that each student can take to promote inclusion.
The charter will be signed by all participants and will become a symbolic document of the HIDE project, which can be shared in schools and in future Erasmus+ activities.
Day 5: Thursday, March 27th, 2025 – Excursion to Stralsund
Train departure from Damgarten station.
Visit to the German Oceanographic Museum.
Free time for lunch.
City exploration in groups.
Meeting at the station and return to Ribnitz-Damgarten.
Day 6: Friday, March 28th, 2025 – The HIDE Sport Project & Departure
Morning lesson with host siblings.
Workshop 4: 3D Object Creation and Ideas (Activity 8) In this workshop, students will work together in international teams to design and build a symbolic 3D object that visually represents the core themes of the HIDE project:
Inclusion in sports.
Diversity and equal opportunities.
Teamwork and cooperation between people of different backgrounds and abilities.
Students will brainstorm ideas and select materials to construct their object, ensuring that it embodies the spirit of the project. The final creation will be presented to the entire group and later displayed as a commemorative piece of the Erasmus+ mobility.
This activity fosters creativity, teamwork, and intercultural exchange, encouraging students to express their learning and experiences in a tangible and artistic way.

Transfer from Madrid to Villanueva de la Serena in a private van (8-passenger capacity).

This mobility represents a unique opportunity for our students to improve their language and communication skills in a real-world context while becoming more aware of the importance of inclusion in society. Through their stay with host families and participation in multicultural activities, our students will broaden their horizons and experience an unforgettable journey.
Mobility to Kołobrzeg (Poland) – December 9-15, 2024
The IES Puerta de la Serena is excited to share with you all the next Erasmus+ mobility to Kołobrzeg, Poland, taking place from December 9 to 15, 2024. Seven selected students (Aitor Indias, Carmelo Calvo, Eduardo Luque, Elsa Cerrato, Marta Carmona, Paola Moreno and Saúl López), accompanied by two teachers, will travel to the Polish city as part of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH HIDE (Human Interaction in Diverse Environments) Sport Project. This international experience will allow our students to engage in various activities focused on physical health and well-being, exploring the relationship between sports and health, as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle.
During this mobility, the students will collaborate with peers from other partner countries, including Poland (Kołobrzeg), Germany (Ribnitz-Damgarten), France (Tourcoign), Greece (Corfu), and Italy (Trebisacce). They will work on joint tasks and designing a logo for the project. Additionally, they will participate in cooking classes and attend conferences with dieticians.
This mobility offers a unique opportunity for our students to immerse themselves in a new culture, develop their language skills, and strengthen their personal and academic growth. We are confident this experience will be a valuable part of their educational journey.

Villanueva de la Serena, November 3rd, 2024
In our first mobility the Spanish team will have the following tasks to achieve:
Prepare a presentation (powerpoint or genial.ly) to introduce their school, town and region.
Investigate on the topic sport and health: Why is sport synonym of health and well being? Why are they related to each other? They will also prepare their presentation.
Will do a survey: What should I eat when I practise sport? They will prepare the questionnaire, analyze the results, report and organize the answers and realize the presentation .
Designing the logo and vote: International teams will work on the conception of a logo to symbolize the partnership and its main topic. The different realizations will be judged by students of all participating schools. At the end of the mobility, the coordinator, France, will be in charge of the realization of this final chosen logo. They will resort to a professional computer graphic designer. This logo will be given to the different partners while the next mobility takes place.
Presentation of students’ investigation : Why is sport synonym of health and well being ? What are the advantages of doing sport ? What should I do sport for ?
Presentation of the surveys : Students will use different digital tools such as Genial.ly, Prezi, powerpoint to do their work.
Creation of a typical menu
Conference with dieticians to explain the benefits of physical activities as well as to make youth aware of these benefits.
It is also the occasion for some students to change the way they live and eat.
Designing the brochure : After the conference with dieticians, students will be able to create a brochure to promote healthy diet and to encourage young people to have a physical activity.
Lessons of cooking.
During this mobility, there will be 7 students from each partner organization, attending the meeting, accompanied by two teachers. That is to say 35 foreign students and 10 foreign teachers. Poland will involve 35 students to host the guests, to participate to all the planned activities and 5 teachers (ICT, English, PE, art and biology teachers). Moreover, as the hosting school is a primary school, they expect to involve about 20 pupils (in addition to the 35 students previously mentionnned) to make them aware of the importance and consequence of physical activities on their health.
Students with a positive language placement test will attend international exchanges. Selection of the students and teachers according to the rules worked out in each school, based on students' involvement in school activities, command of English, social and emotional maturity. Each school works out their own set of rules, on the basis of the guidelines discussed agreed on during the online meeting. Recruitment boards will be established to carry out the recruitment process. Students’ school results and their participation in extracurricular activities will both be taken into great consideration,as well.
Because of the topic of the project, PE teachers will take part in this mobility as well as nurses who work with the hosting school. Poland will also organize a meeting with specialists to talk about health.

En el IES Puerta de la Serena estamos emocionados de anunciar las próximas movilidades Erasmus+ para nuestros alumnos de 3º y 4º de ESO, quienes tendrán la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia educativa y cultural única en Europa. Dentro del marco del proyecto Erasmus+ HIDE (Human Interaction in Diverse Environments), nuestro centro participa en un proyecto con movilidades de alumnos en grupo que nos llevará a Kolobrzeg, Polonia, en diciembre de 2024 y a Ribnitz-Damgarten, Alemania, en marzo de 2025.
Estas movilidades representan una excelente ocasión para que nuestros jóvenes descubran nuevas culturas, amplíen su perspectiva sobre el mundo y refuercen su aprendizaje fuera del aula. Durante estas visitas, cada grupo de alumnos convivirá con familias locales, compartiendo sus costumbres y creando lazos con sus compañeros europeos. Además, realizarán actividades y talleres conjuntos centrados en la diversidad cultural, el respeto mutuo y la comprensión de distintas realidades sociales.

Diciembre 2024: Visita a Kołobrzeg, Polonia
Marzo 2025: Visita a Ribnitz-Damgarten, Alemania
Participantes: Siete alumnos por cada movilidad, acompañados por dos profesores del centro.
Actividades: Encuentros interculturales, visitas educativas y talleres sobre integración y respeto hacia la diversidad.
Objetivos: Fomentar la empatía y el entendimiento cultural, así como el aprendizaje y el compromiso con los valores europeos.
El proceso de selección de los alumnos ha concluido, y se ha evaluado tanto su interés en los valores Erasmus+ como su capacidad para representar a nuestro centro en un entorno internacional. La lista provisional de alumnos seleccionados y de reserva para ambas movilidades ya está expuesta en los tablones del centro y en nuestra página web. Invitamos a la comunidad educativa a consultar estos listados y a animar a los seleccionados en esta aventura internacional.
Desde el IES Puerta de la Serena, estamos convencidos de que estas experiencias serán muy enriquecedoras y contribuirán al crecimiento personal y académico de nuestros estudiantes. Además, el proyecto HIDE les permitirá reflexionar sobre temas tan importantes como la tolerancia, la inclusión y el respeto a la diversidad, aspectos fundamentales para desenvolverse en una sociedad global.
