Jobshadowing to Slovenja.
Three teachers travelled to Slovenia in February.
We had to flight to Vienna and hired a car to arrive to the small village: Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici, where the school is located.
10th February - Saturday
Day 1 (Tag 1)
Flight to Vienna and a quick view to this beatiful and historic city. We also enjoyed some tipical food.
The weather in Vienna was nice.
11th February - Sunday
Day 2 (Dan 2)
We traveled from Austria to Slovenia, arriveed to our destiny, a beatiful house in the middle of the countryside. In the afternoon, we had dinner at 17:00. Our adaptation to the European traditions started here.
12th February - Monday
Day 3 (Dan 3)
First day at school. After a warm welcome we started our amazing trip within an eslovenian primary and school.
Once inside, at first sight, we discovered a beautiful and handy building, full of colorful corners, and a school canteen, where both students and teacher had lunch in different shifts.
After a quick view of the facilities, an exciting bus trip with the students to Maribor, one of the biggest cities in Eslovenia, where we acompany the kids to the theatre to watch a beautiful puppet show of the classic tale "Goldilocks and the three bears".
Once finished the show, time to walk around for a quick view of this incredible city with our Erasmus partners. To know about the culture and traditions is another way of enjoy the Erasmus experience...
To end the day, nothing like a quiet walk to explore and discover new and awsome places...
13th February - Tuesday
Day 4 (Dan 4)
Carnival celebration at the school. We are invited to participate and after a second visit to some other places in the school like the library, the computer room or the concierge, the show starts in the gym...
The whole school is there. Everyone dressed up. The party begins. Each level has prepared a performance with music and dance, to make the audience enjoy and join the party. Everybody is welcome to participate.
In the afternoon we continue with our culture immersion. Now is the time of knowing Ptuj, one of the oldest cities in Slovenia. The particular and unique carnival celebration in this place, with people in strange and hairy costumes ringing cowbells all the time, permeates the party atmosfere. Apart from this, this ancient city offers the visitors many corners full of magic, mystery and history. Indeed it is a city to be discovered.
Back home in the evening, after a long day, we take advantage for enjoying the amazing sunset in our little village .
14th February - Wednesday

Activities in the School, phisical education class.
15th February - Thursday
Day 6 (Dan 6)
As in the day before, we continue with the jobshadowing, visiting different classes and learning a little bit more of the eslovenian educative system and the methodolgy used with the students there in different subjects.
To make the inmersion more complete, we decide to go one step further and get actively involved in some classes.
In the afternoom we visit a typical local business. A pumpking oil factory. This kind of oil. This kind of oil along with wine are the two most typical products of the country.
... and enjoying again with the wonderful landscapes that surrounded us...
Another visit to some local businesses, an exclusive shoe factory.
After visiting a nearby town and entering one of its typical mills we finish the day with a kind of farewell dinner ewith many of the school teachers. Once more we enjoy the typical gastronomy of the country.
16th February - Friday
Day 7 (Dan 7)
School last day and farewel.
This incredible experience is ending, and we want to reciprocate so much generosity and kindness on the part of our hosts with one last special gift. Something typical spanish. Our mate Alex shows to a bunch of slovenian students and teachers how to cook a Spanish omelette. So we spend a fun time cooking and tasting this traditional spanish dish.
After an emotional farewell and thank you ceremony, we finish our stay in the school, not without first visiting the building where the kindergarden students are, and the Townhall.
With one last cofee with some of the our slovenians school mates, wi finish this amazing journey and jobshadowing experience to Slovenja.
Time to have rest and prepare for the way back to Vienna and to Spain.
17th February - Saturday
Day 8 (Dan 8)
Last day, return to Austria and visit Graz.
Our last day of the trip was to make a must-see visit to Graz, the capital city of the Austrian state of Styria. Graz is known for its well-preserved historic architecture, including the Schlossberg (Castle Hill) with its clock tower, and the Eggenberg Palace.
It's also famous for its vibrant cultural scene, diverse cuisine, and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Graz is a lively and dynamic city, attracting visitors from all over the world.
