The objectives of the Befinetour project are:
- to adapt the vocational programmes in tourism on sustainability to more practical focus on sustainability and customer behaviour.
- to develop practical exercises based on “nudging” together with the local/regional tourism sector.
- to experiment with new more sustainable offers with companies based on student projects.
The project will implement the following activities:
- doing research and need analysis on the trends and developments in sustainable tourism, nudging and its consequences for VET
- developing a core curriculum on sustainability and the theory of "nudging" and adapting these to each partner organisation
- organising cooperation projects: students project with local companies. This also includes a test mobility to ensure the best outcome.
- disseminating the results for optimal impact.
The most significant results of the project are the following:
- research and need analysis of sustainability and nudging in the tourism sector
- core curriculum and the four adaptations of it
- student projects with local companies: creating a practical cooperation model applicable to educational institutions and companies
- creating a guide for tourism companies on ideas gathered during the student projects
