UNIT 7 CAMPING TRIP


SLEPPING BAG: a large, thick bag for sleeping in, especially when you are sleeping outside, for example in a tent.

TENT: a shelter made of canvas or a similar material and supported by poles and ropes, that you can fold up and carry with you

TORCH: a small light that is held in the hand and usually gets its power from batteries

CHARGER: a device that is used to recharge a battery

WHISTLE: to make a high sound by forcing air through a small hole or passage, especially through the lips, or through a special device held to the lips

SUNGLASSES: glasses that are used to protect you from the sum

UMBRELLA: an object that is used to protect you from the rain

GLOVES: an object that used to protect your hands from cold

POCKET: a small bag for carrying things in

BELT: a strip of leather or material worn around the waist to support clothes or for decoration

DAMAGE: to harm or spoil something

FOLLOW: to move behind someone or something and go where they are going

GET LOST: Not to know exactly where you are.

HIKE: to go for a walk for long hours specially in the countryside

HILL: a small mountain in the countryside

MAP: an object that is used to help you arrive anywhere

STREAM: water that flows naturally along a fixed route formed by a channel cut into rock or ground, usually at ground level

WILDLIFE: animals that are free in a place





ZERO CONDITIONAL


Here you have the structure of zero conditional. Study it because it will be on the test. 

STRUCTURE ZERO CONDITIONAL

AFFIRMATIVE: IF + SUBJECT+ PRESENT SIMPLE, SUBJECT + VERB IN PRESENT SIMPLE

NEGATIVE: IF + SUBJECT + DON'T/DOESN'T + VERB IN PRESENT SIMPLE, SUBJECT+ PRESENT SIMPLE

If you freeze water, it becomes a solid.

Ice does not melt if it is not in the sun.

As I have said in class Irregular Verbs are necessary, that is why we are going to start learning them by heart so that we know them as our name and address, without thinking!!!!! I have given you the paper, but in case you lost it, here you have a picture of all of them. Each day we will study 5 of them and I will ask you in class for 3 of them.

WEBSITE: a page of information on the internet about a particular subject, that forms (a part of) a website

PASSWORD: a secret word or combination of letters or numbers, used for communicating with another person or with a computer to prove who you are
