Your school computer

Your school computer requires you to log in with your school account. Once you're logged in, your school computer will automatically connect to the correct network.

Guidelines

Rules for your borrowed computer

Your Google School account is intended solely for school-related purposes and not for personal use.
When using the computer, you must respect the equal worth of all people, use appropriate language, and protect both your own privacy and the privacy of others.
During class, the computer may only be used for schoolwork.
You may not unlock or tamper with the computer’s operating system. You may also not install an operating system other than the one that came with the computer without the school’s permission.

If you break the rules, the school has the right to take the computer back.

Digital resources

You will be given access to a variety of services such as Google and Vklass.

To access these, use your school account.

Network: StadenGoteborg

The network of the City of Gothenburg that your school computer uses.

Network: goteborgfree

The City of Gothenburg's open network. If you need Wi-Fi for your mobile phone, you can use this network.

Take good care of your computer!

Google Workspace for Education offers many useful tools for creating, collaborating, and learning together with your classmates and teachers. Your Google School Account is intended for schoolwork and learning within the school environment.

Your Google School Account is meant solely for school-related purposes and not for personal use. It's important to keep your account and its contents within the scope of your school assignments and projects. Use a personal account for activities unrelated to schoolwork to keep your school tasks and personal activities separate. Below are instructions on how to switch between your school account and personal account on a computer or phone.

If you're not satisfied with your current password or for other reasons want to change it, you can do so via the link below:

After changing your password, it's always a good idea to log out and log back in on your school computer to ensure you're properly logged into all services again.

Google Chrome Web Browser

The browser used on a Chromebook is called Google Chrome. If you're using a PC or Mac, make sure to log in and use your Chrome browser.

In the bookmarks bar in Chrome at the top left, you'll find a folder with your school's name. Inside, there are shortcuts to the digital learning resources that you have access to.
