We are delighted to welcome parents into the nursery. Throughout the year there are a range of opportunities for you to come in and join your child in nursery, find out more about their learning and experiences and become involved in the life of the nursery and school. These include;
termly ‘Stay & Play’ sessions
termly sharing of Learning Stories at home. Please remember you can contribute to and share your child’s learning story with them in nursery at any time.
parent/carer consultations with your child’s key worker
celebrations such as ‘Cake & Carols’ at Christmas and our Garden Graduation Party in summer
monthly ‘Tea and toast’ for parents/carers
joining our Parent Council and PTA
We welcome parent/carer volunteers on a regular or one off basis and value the many skills you have. If you have time to support the work in nursery, please let a member of the nursery staff know.
These are some of the ways you might be able to help;
joining us on our Weekly Wanders
supporting Nature Nurture in the school grounds
helping in our outdoor garden area
reading stories
adding an extra element to the learning through sharing parent/carer skills
providing musical/drama/dance/ experiences
supporting introductions to additional languages
If you are interested in helping out on a regular basis, you will need to complete a ‘Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG)’ Form. Please speak to a member of staff about this.
