Welcome to Stoneyhill Primary School.
We are a non-denominational school built in 1996. We are a semi open-plan school with an extension that houses a nursery. We are currently hosting pupils for the new Craighall Primary School.
We want all our children to be…
Confident Individuals: who feel safe, know their strengths and make informed choices.
Successful Learners: who are curious, resilient and creative.
Effective Contributors: who communicate in a fair, friendly and fun way.
Responsible Citizens: who are respectful, mindful and honest.
At Stoneyhill we are committed to living out our Vision and Values which are displayed on a Vision Tree in every classroom. The key to our vision is respect for self and others, so that we achieve our aim to be a school where we all care about our learning, each other and our world.
Our values were agreed through a school community consultation 2021-22, and are regularly reviewed. The fruits on the tree branches label our values.
Our vision is coherent, being organised around the four ‘capacities’ of Curriculum for Excellence and East Lothian’s Relationships & Learning Pedagogy Sails with our two caring branches and two Learning Branches.
Alongside our Vision, Values and Aims we follow restorative practice with our main school rules being: Ready, Respectful and Safe.
