Basics and introductions

This is your first topic in S3 German and it really sets the tone for the rest of the year, so get stuck in to learning these basics as thoroughly as you can to build confidence in your language quickly.

By the end of this topic you will be able to:

• introduce yourself (name, age, where you live)

• ask other people for their name, age and where they live

• know the days of the week and months of the year

• know the seven colours of the rainbow

• be able to name at least 5 pets

• know a little bit more about Germany as a country
