Talking is a matter of practice. It is a skill for life and there is no short road to becoming GREAT at it. But, the best news is that, with regular practice and, above all, a willingness to get stuck in and give it a go, EVERYONE can develop their speaking skills. It's also, in my opinion, the whole reason for learning a language - to talk to other people, share ideas, have a laugh!
From that point of view, this page won't help you speak better German, but it will let you see how you're going to be assessed on it (bo-ring!). Below are all the Talking Activities that you will cover in S3 so you can see what you should be able to do by the end of the course. Look at these at any time and feel free to test yourself! These are also available on the S3 German page of the Modern Languages Blog.
"Right backatcha" phrases
This is valuable stuff - bring it into your German in class and in everyday conversation. Build a bank of these phrases and get them wedged into your talking till it feels natural.
Key thing: Fake it till you make it! :)
However long you have been studying German, even if it's only 5 minutes, work on building these expressions into your everyday German to make it sound more natural.
