In S1 Spanish, you will learn how to give personal details about yourself, learn how to talk about your likes and dislikes at school, and give details about where you live in French.
You will come to Spanish one period per week in S1.

Overview of S2 Spanish
In S2 Spanish, you will learn about where you live, cultural elements linked to Spain such as bullfighting, your school life and your daily routines at home in Spanish.
You will come to Spanish two periods per week in S2.

Overview of S3 Spanish
In S3 Spanish, you will learn about technology and how you use it, where you live and your opinions of it, and what food and exercise you do to keep healthy in Spanish.
You will come to Spanish three periods per week in S3.

Overview of National 5 Spanish
If you choose to study National 5 Spanish, you will learn about the four main contexts governing language learning in the senior phase: society, learning, culture and employability. You will develop your four main skills of reading, talking, writing and listening in Spanish in order to gain the best grade possible at National 5 in preparation for moving onto Higher Spanish.
You will come to Spanish four periods per week when studying National 5 Spanish.

Overview of Higher Spanish
Like in National 5, if you choose to study Higher Spanish, you will develop further your knowledge about the four main contexts governing language learning in the senior phase: society, learning, culture and employability. You will become more confident and expert in your four main skills of reading, talking, writing and listening in Spanish in order to gain the best grade possible at Higher Spanish. Achieving well at Higher Spanish could see you progress on to Advanced Higher Spanish or onto a college or university course.
You will come to Spanish six periods per week when studying Higher Spanish.

Overview of Advanced Higher Spanish
If you choose to study Advanced Higher Spanish, you will become expert in the four main contexts governing language learning in the senior phase: society, learning, culture and employability. You will deal with your four main skills of reading, talking, writing and listening confidently in Spanish in order to gain the best grade possible at Advanced Higher in preparation for moving onto a university course in Spanish.
You will come to Spanish six periods per week when studying Advanced Higher Spanish. Some of these periods will be dedicated to autonomous learning.
