Our Macmerry Way

The Macmerry Way is our approach to supporting positive relationships and behaviour across our school. At Macmerry Primary, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every child feels valued and respected.

We believe that behaviour is a way of communicating, and that children are continually developing the skills they need to manage their feelings and actions. As part of this, we teach positive behaviour explicitly, alongside learning in the classroom, helping children to understand expectations and make good choices.

Our role as a school community is to support, teach, model and guide children through calm, consistent and caring approaches. We work together with children and families to help every child succeed.
