As a team we are committed to continually improving our service for the young people and families in our care. All stakeholders are encouraged to engage in regular self-evaluation to drive our improvements. Below is our improvement plan for this session which maps out our key areas for improvement.

Priority 1 - Family Engagement

We want families to be involved in shaping our improvements, welcome to share their skills, encouraged to feed into self-evaluation and improvements and supported to understand where their child is in their learning journey and how they can help.

• Introduce Welcome Evenings for New Families to the setting (3 times a year)
• Rebuild our Nursery Website
• Continue to enhance our Nursery Newsletter 
• Extend room learning noticeboards
• Encourage families to become co-creators of our Learning Journals
• Introduce 'Nurturing Nature' course for families
• ,Enhance 'Stay & Play' Sessions

Priority 2 - Numeracy

We want to improve engagement and achievement in numeracy.

• Adapt our environments to ensure they are numeracy rich
• Develop staff knowledge of numeracy learning targets 
• Share numeracy home learning ideas regularly 
• Introduce SLT and peer observations
• Introduce learning conversations between DHT and practitioners 

Priority 3 - Planning & Tracking

We want to improve attainment across the curriculum by improving planning & tracking. 

• Introduce new trackers
• Introduce termly learning conversations between DHT & key workers
• Adapt planning 
• Begin inputting pre-school attainment data onto SEEMIS

Priority 4 - Outdoor Spaces

We want to increase learning opportunities and engagement in our outdoor spaces. By doing this we want to create a culture where by all stakeholders value the outdoors as much as indoors as a learning enviornment.

• Seek funding to improve outdoor spaces (resources, storage, shelter and clothing)
• Develop partnerships to improve outdoor spaces (resources, storage and shelter)
• Develop our outdoor focus via our organisation plans
• Develop our planning outdoors

Priority 5 - Planned Learning Opportunities 

We want to increase increase opportunities for interesting and exciting learning experiences.

• Develop community links to increase planned learning opportunities 
• Encourage families to support planned learning opportunities
