Eye Learn™ is a program that provides kindergarten-aged students with a comprehensive eye exam from an optometrist. There is Alberta Health coverage towards your child’s eye exams up to age 19. If required, kindergarten-aged students also receive a free pair of eyeglasses.
The U of A campus, operates a 134-seat clinic where the dentistry school students get hands-on experience working with patients. The ultimate goal is to create a positive learning experience for students and provide patients with quality dental care. In terms of the orthodontics program, these are graduate-level students who are undertaking education to specialize in orthodontics. All care in the clinic is under the supervision of our faculty. There is currently have a shortage of patients for our orthodontics students. The cost of care in the clinic is more affordable than out in the industry, and we do accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan as well.
