Online lessons
Hey everybody!
I thought I'd put my Remote Learning lessons here in case they can help any PE teachers. Use these in whichever way you like - my own format for the lessons (30-40 minutes) are as follows: -
0-5 min: Welcome and warm-up online with the students to music
5-15 min: Students go offline and practice the skills in the video. Can they practice each skill at least two/three times or until they can gain success? I find the students concentrate more on the skill when working independently and its a great ATL in self-management and being organized - practicing skills and then reporting back at the correct time!
15-30/40 min: Students report back and we go through the skills together. Practice at first then do them competitively for house points ('How many can you do in 30 seconds?). They then put their scores in the chat and keep a running total before adding them up at the end. Great for a number of ATLs as well as cross-curricular maths - plus the added competitiveness keeps the interest levels and engagement high throughout!
