Guidelines for Our Zoom Sessions

• When you join, please enter your first name and last initial. For example, my name is Julia Roberts so I would enter "Julia R."

• Participate!

• Before the Zoom starts, get to a quiet place without distractions like conversations or electronics.

• Take notes!

General Zoom Etiquette

Our Zoom sessions let us see and talk to each other. To help everyone learn during Zoom sessions, please follow these rules.

Respect others.

Understand that we're all real people, even in a Zoom. I will not allow offensive comments about anyone's race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or economic status.  

Don't post or share inappropriate material.

Even if you think nobody else will see it, just don't. Personal information is also inappropriate to post during a Zoom.

Show up prepared.

Be on time for the Zoom. Have a list of questions! Bring any notes or other material you need for yourself.

Check what your camera can see.

Dress appropriately for school. Double-check what's in your background when you turn your camera on. Try to stay in one place during the Zoom.

Limit background noise.

Find a quiet place to start your Zoom. If there is too much background noise, mute your mic and turn it on when it's your turn to talk.

No eating.

Save meal and snack times for after the Zoom.
