Discussion assignments count for 20% of your course grade. Don't skip them!
The Discussion Questions are often near the beginning of the unit, but you do not have to complete them right away. Try to master all of the learning modules (lessons) before you tackle the Discussion Questions.
Read carefully! The discussion questions usually have several sub-questions included. Take your time reading the discussion question prompt. Write a response using your own words. Do not plagiarize or borrow content from other students!
Compose your answer somewhere OTHER than Edmentum, like Google Docs or Microsoft Word. With this method & some editing, you can avoid common mistakes like spelling/grammar errors and missing punctuation.
Discussion Question scores & revising your response: If your discussion response earns a low grade, check my feedback and/or my response to your answer. You may need to revise your work to earn a proficient score. If you revise your original answer, you must notify me that you have done so. I do not receive a notification about revisions. I only receive a notification when you submit your first post in a discussion.
A detailed, well written response will increase your score. Your response should be 7-10 sentences in length with plenty of details.
