Tips for a successful Zoom:
1. Participate!
2. Choose a quiet place away from distracts such as conversations and electronics.
3. Take notes on the main objective(s).
Zoom Etiquette:
1. Be respectful. It is important to remember that your classmates and teachers are real people who are affected by the words you say and write. It is essential to keep in mind the feelings and opinions of others, even if they differ from your own.
2. Don’t post or share (even privately) inappropriate material, including personal information.
3. Our Zoom classroom should be a safe place for everyone. No comments will be allowed that would offend someone due to their race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or economic status. You will treat everyone with the respect and understanding they deserve.
4. Please come to Zoom prepared. Have your questions ready so that your teacher can work through them with you.
5. If you are on video, be aware of what is in the camera view.
6. Limit your background noise. Mute yourself if more than one student attends and unmute when you want to participate.
7. No one is an expert in all areas. Some of us have more experience than others in using online discussion forums—we all need to help each other be comfortable.
8. We learn from our mistakes and from each other.
9. We are not here to give you the answer, we are here to help you along your learning journey.
