Best Part of Your Job:  The best part of my job is developing and growing relationships with my students and seeing students develop relationships with their peers.  I love that I have the opportunity to teach students for 7 years through band.  I enjoy the creative process of music making and the joy students feel when they experience failure and success to persevere.  Teaching students is a very rewarding career and who does not want to create and make music all day.

Best Part of Your Job: “In addition to hearing excellent performances by our talented students, I enjoy listening to students reflect on their own personal and musical development and their performance experiences. I find it truly inspiring when students accept a growth mindset and realize the power of the word “yet.” It is amazing to see how a team of educators, classmates, parents, and administrators can help students navigate from “I can’t do that yet” to “Wow! I had NO idea I could do that!”
